Pet Peeves

I have a couple pet peeves. My first one is when someone leaves cupboard doors or drawers partly open. This bothers me. If I go into a kitchen and there are some doors or drawers open part way I will shut them. My sister thought she would be funny one day and she opened every cupboard and drawer a little. When I went in there I shut them all right away and she thought it was funny. Another pet peeve of mine is drivers who leave their blinker on for EVER! They just drive down the road, knowing that they are not going to turn, with their blinker on. With these pet peeves I don't go crazy if they happen, they just kinda bother me.

College can be a very stressful yet enjoyable time. Last semester, my first semester of college, was pretty easy. This semester is different because I'm taking more credits. I've already had a lot of homework pretty much every night. Last semester I think my classes were easier and I didn't have homework as much. I could pretty much go hang out with friends whenever I wanted to. This semester I am learning how to prioritize my schedule. I just have to keep in mind what is most important to me. I have to do the most important things then I can do fun things. I know that as I go on in college, it will become more and more stressful.

Christmas Break

Christmas break was awesome! I really liked that it was so long. I got to do a lotta fun things! I cought up on sleep, which as a college student, can be hard. I spent time with my family a lot. I babysat my nephew several times, which was great because when I'm up here I don't get to see him too often. I also spent time with friends. I went to my old high school's basketball game (which they won!). It was fun to go there because a lot of people from my graduating class were there. Also over Christmas break I went shopping several times! I went up to the Mall of America a couple times. Christmas Eve I went to Eagle Lake with my boyfriend to his christmas. Then I went back home and had christmas at my sisters with my 3 sisters, my mom, and 2 brother-in-laws. Christmas day I went to my aunt's house and saw a bunch of my family. We played some games there, which was fun! On New Years eve I went to a couple friends houses.

A little about me!

My name is Denise Bicknase, I'm from Fairmont, MN. I lived in Fairmont my whole life. I have 3 older sisters, I'm the youngest. My oldest sister recently had a baby, which is my first nephew! My third oldest sister got engaged at the end of 2008. I am a freshman at MSU, and I am undecided in my major. I came to MSU because it's not too far away from home. It was quite the transition for me. I went from a high school of about 70 people total to this big campus!

I got my first job when I was 14 years old. I worked at the grocery store Hy-Vee. I had this job until I was 18. Now I am currently employed by a company called Friends and Family. I take care of 4 disabled girls. I really like my job a lot! I only work every other weekend, 48 hour shifts. It seems like a lot, but it goes quick! Then I have every weekday and every other weekend off.
